Three Battles

It’s been a couple of days since I’ve played Street Fighter IV. Heck, it’s been a even longer since I’ve played it on PlayStation Network. I’ve realized two things when playing the PlayStation 3 version of the game:

1. The online community seems to be more active during the daytime.

2. The wireless MadCatz controller doesn’t seem to be as responsive as it should be.

I had some trouble with it today. At first I thought the batteries may have been dying but when I changed them, I continued to have problems.

I was able to win three straight battles in a row, however. But As you can see by the videos I have posted, I did a seriously lousy job. What say you?

MMPU Back Stage: The EM Series

Welcome to the first in my “Behind the Scenes” series known as “Back Stage”. Today I will be talking about Construction mode from Megaman Powered Up and the EM Series. This was the first set of stages I started around the time I purchased the game. There was no particular pattern MMPUthat occurred other than me trying my hand at multi-pathing. While I haven’t created any stages under this set since 2006, I am in the process of creating new stages. The current levels that are available are: Frost Raider, Guts Dozing, and my personal favorite of the 3, Blues Strike. In addition, I also have Pyro Demo, which, as the title suggests, was originally intended to be a demo.

Showcase

So as you may or may not know, I originally intended for this blog to be about my not-so-much-progression progression as Rose in Street Fighter IV. But blogging about a single game can get a bit tiresome. Essentially, I decided to expand. I've bought the appropriate hardware and and now able to show case both PSP and console games. Will it about just about the games I'm currently showcasing? No. It will evolve as I go along. Either way, it's something I do as a hobby and for your entertainment. The current games I'm showcasing are Street Fighter IV and Megaman Powered Up.

For Street Fighter IV, I really have no reason to upload my battles other than as of right now it's currently one of my favorite games and I'd like to see some constructive criticism/praise whenever necessary.

Megaman Powered Up is a whole other reason. Many of you who've played the game are aware of the game's Construction Mode. This feature, I believe, outdoes the game for many reasons. While it has it's limitations, this mode does allow for fans of the game to create levels to their liking. I've seen some great levels. I've seen some terrible levels. I've done both myself. It's a long shot and I really don't believe it will happen, but because this is a very underrated game, I'm trying to garner the attention it deserves. While Capcom did release some Construction Mode expansion paks, a true Megaman Powered Up sequel is unlikely. I'm actually fine with that, but at the very least I'd like to see expansion paks made for enemy characters from Megaman 2-8. The game is very cheap now (I've seen it brand new at Gamestop for $12.99) and if you have a PSP is well worth your money. I'll go more in depth on my next blog. Until then, please enjoy the Japanese opening to Rockman 8!
